REQUIREMENTS
Civil Engineering Or Construction Management Major
Sophomore, Junior or Senior Or Full-Time Graduate Student at a Southern California College or University
Current ASCE Member
A recommendation letter from an ASCE Faculty Advisor is strongly preferred

3-5 minute video presentation
Topic:
In your opinion, how is ASCE transforming the future of the civil engineering/construction/infrastructure industry? Describe how Younger Member Forum (YMF) events and/or programs are influencing these transformations today with specific details on enhancing students’ experiences as future leaders in the field and/or describe how you plan to make a difference on students through YMF post-graduation.
CANDIDATE EVALUATION CRITERIA
Video – 60%
Grades – 15%
ASCE Involvement – 15%
On-Time Registration for History Heritage Student Scholarship Night - 10%
AWARD
The ASCE Orange County Branch YMF Outstanding Student Scholarship Award will be honored in the form of a check payable to the individual student and presented at the ASCE Orange County Branch History & Heritage / Student Night Dinner on November 7th, 2024. A short bio and professional photo will be required for awarded applicants.
An Award of $1,000* will be given to the selected winner.
*Note: The money allocation is subject to change, and will vary depending on the number of students applying for the scholarship. There may be more candidates awarded than indicated above.
