Topic:
With the conclusion of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the torch has now been passed to Los Angeles for 2028. What solutions do you propose to improve transportation and transit for the 2028 Olympic Games in Southern California? Your responses should vary to include holistic responses and specific listed improvements.
CANDIDATE EVALUATION CRITERIA
Video – 55%
Grades – 20%
ASCE Involvement – 15%
History and Heritage Night registration – 10%
The candidates will be evaluated based on the above criteria in general. The percentage of each criterion may be re-evaluated after the review panel is formed, with an emphasis on the Video. Candidates must submit a link to the video in their application.
AWARD
The ASCE-OC T&DI Award will be honored in the form of a check payable to the individual student.
Funds may be awarded to multiple applicants totaling the amount of $5,000. Awards and amounts will be determined at the discretion of the review panel.
Awards to be presented at the ASCE-OC History and Heritage Student Scholarship Night on November 7th, 2024.
