Create three social media posts, including 1 static post and 2 dynamic posts, informing the public on the topic. Include a write up description of the social media posts with sources
Topic:
ASCE encourages informative discussion of current industry affairs, as well as public involvement to educate and engage the public regarding proposed policies, plans, designs, projects, and programs. Prepare social media posts to inform the public how aging infrastructure impacts the community. Include 1 static and 2 dynamic social media posts that
can be shared with the public to educate them on this topic. Provide captions for each post and a separate write up with your sources and description of your campaign.
You are to submit the prepared social media posts (and separate write up). You are not required to post them. The prepared dynamic posts should be submitted as a video file, and the prepared static post should be submitted as a PDF document along with the separate write-up.
Some samples of aging infrastructure include replacement of pipes or conveyance systems, inadequate treatment foremerging contaminates, and capacity constraints or flooding related to climate change.
Points for creativity, research, and clearly presented facts/discussion. The winning submission(s) may be featured on the EWRI-OC LinkedIn account or other ASCE social media.
