What is the purpose of organizing these bike ride events?

  • Encourage active transportation by exploring the many beautiful trails in OC

  • Improve our physical and mental health

  • Network and socialize

  • Learn about engineering projects along the trail's route.

The bike ride was attended by biking enthusiasts, including Janet Fordunski, who volunteers with the Newport Back Bay Conservancy. During the ride, Janet highlighted the clean-up effort at the bay and the steps taken to protect the bird nesting sites. Janet will also assist the sustainability committee in organizing a kayak tour of the bay.

After biking, the attendees enjoyed breakfast at Panera Bread!
