Sonia Nasser

Sonia Nasser, PE was the president of the Orange County Branch from October 2003 to September 2004.  Sonia Nasser received her B.S. degree in CMl Engineering from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Texas.  During her student career. she served as Secretary in the ASCE Student Chapter and also served one year as the Project Engineer for the ASCE Concrete Canoe project. She was also active in the Student Chapter of Chi Epsilon.  While attending college. she worked as a co-op engineering student in various divisions of the City of Dallas Water Utilities Department.


Sonia is a California-registered civil engineer. Her professional career began in Southern California with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. After two years she moved to Orange County and started working with the County of Orange Integrated Waste Management Department.  During her time at the County of Orange Integrated Waste Management Department, her professional career focused on landfill engineering and regulatory compliance.


Sonia has been very active in the Orange County Branch History and Heritage Committee since 1993 and and worked on the historical Civil Engineering Landmark for the Orange County Flood Control District.
