John Hogan
John Hogan, PE was the president of the Orange County Branch from October 2005 to September 2006. He is President/C.E.O. of Hall & Foreman, Inc. in Santa Ana, California. He is a native Californian and earned his BSCE from USC and MSCE from Cal State Long Beach. John joined Hall & Foreman, Inc., in 1987 after spending the early part of his engineering career with the Southern California Gas Company and AC Martin Partners.
In 1993, John was appointed a principal and shareholder in H&F. He became the firm's fourth president in 1996. In the six years since then, the firm has nearly tripled in size, grown from two offices to four, in Upland, Santa Ana, Chatsworth, and Fontana, and has secured several of the most coveted projects in southern California.
During his career, he has planned, designed and overseen the design of numerous land development and public works projects. John has been involved with ASCE since college. John has been active in ASCE since his college days at USC where he was an officer of the student chapter. After graduation, John became involved in the LA Section AMF (now YMF), and was AMF President in 1980-81. Prior to being elected to the Branch Board, he served on the Branch's History and Heritage Committee and 150th Anniversary Committee, and was Chair of the Membership Committee. John also served as President of the Los Angeles Section and is currently a Region 9 Governor. John believes the contacts he has made and the leadership skills and experience gained through ASCE have had a significant influence on the success he has achieved in his career.
John and his wife Becky have seven children. The two youngest, 11 year old twins, Kellee and Rich are the only ones still at home. The Hogans have resided in Laguna Hills since 1975. John is active in his
community serving in youth athletics and as Chairman of the Board of the Saddleback Valley YMCA.
