ASCE Orange County Branch Past President
2026-2027
Jenny Robinet
I am excited and honored to serve as the 2026–2027 President of the ASCE Orange County Branch. As we look to the year ahead, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many talented, passionate, and dedicated members of our civil engineering community.
Since 1953, the ASCE Orange County Branch has been a cornerstone of the civil engineering community in Orange County. Over the decades, our Branch has grown and evolved alongside our profession and our communities. I am proud of the legacy our Branch has built, and I look forward to carrying on that legacy together.
This year, I hope to focus on four areas:
Engagement and connection by creating opportunities for our members to meet, collaborate, share ideas, and build lasting professional relationships.
Professional growth through technical programs, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and resources for engineers at every stage of their careers.
Stewardship and resilience by supporting innovative and sustainable approaches that help our communities prepare for the challenges of the future.
Inspiring the next generation of engineers by involving students and young professionals and helping them discover the many possibilities and opportunities within our profession.
I encourage each of you to find a way to be involved that is meaningful to you. Attend an event, volunteer for a committee, bring a colleague to a meeting, mentor a student or young professional, share your expertise, or simply take the time to introduce yourself to someone new. Every contribution matters, and every person who participates helps make our Branch stronger. It is through these connections and shared experiences that we build not only a stronger professional community, but also a stronger profession.
I am honored to serve on the Executive Board alongside our Past President Eric Pheifer, President-Elect Alahesh Thurairajah, Secretary Steven Anderson, and Treasurer Gregory Sebourn. Together with our Executive Board, the Orange County Branch is strengthened by our exceptional Younger Member Forum (YMF), Committees, and Technical Institutes, including the Construction Institute (CI), Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI), Geotechnical Institute (GI), Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI), and Utility Engineering & Survey Institute (UESI).
These groups represent the many ways our members contribute their time, knowledge, and enthusiasm to our Branch. To all of the volunteers and leaders who work behind the scenes to make our programs, events, outreach, and activities possible—thank you. Your dedication is what keeps our Branch active, connected, and moving forward.
And a warm thank you to the ASCE Orange County Branch community for the trust and confidence you have placed in me and for giving me the opportunity to serve as your President. I look forward to a meaningful and memorable year of connection, growth, and building on the legacy that makes our Branch so special.
