Harold Wilson

Harold Wilson, PE, was the president of the Orange County Branch from October 1976 to September 1977 and passed away on August 9, 1999.  He lived in Brea. for many years and had. his Civil Engineering business there.  Harold was born September 18, 1924 at LA Madera, New Mexico.  He and his family moved to El Monte, California in 1936 and he was graduated from EI Monte High School in 1942.  In 1943 Harold entered the US Army Air Corps and served in B29s as a radar observer.  In 1949 he graduated from The University of Southern California with a degree in Civil EngIneering.  Harold worked for the California Division of Highways and the cities of Pasadena, Whittier and Brea.  He had his own engineering firm of Wilson and Associates for many years and was licensed in California and New Mexico.


In the American Society of Civil Engineers, Harold was active in the student chapter at USC and was chairman of the Transportation Group of the Los Angeles Section.  He became a Fellow and as a Life Member was active in the Infrastructure Advisory Committee of the Los Angeles Section.  He was an active volunteer on the Sand and Beach Preservation Board in Oceanside.


He was also a member of Gateway Masonic Lodge #339 and the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brea.
