C.T. Bathala

Chenchayya T. (C.T.) Bathala, Ph.D., P.E., F. ASCE served as president of the Orange County Branch from October 1996 to September 1997.  He was Technical Director of Water Resources with Holmes & Narver. Inc based In Orange. California.  He has over 30 years of professional experience In planning. design and management of various water resources projects; including computer modeling. teaching and research.  He Is a Professional Engineer registered In the states of California. New Mexico and  Indiana. He Is a Professional Hydrologist and a Professional Hydrogeologist.  He received his Ph.D. from Purdue University; and M.S. and B.S. degrees In CiviI Engineering from India.  Dr. Bathala has been a member of ASCE since 1977. He has been active in Orange County Branch since 1989; first as Program Chairman and then as President.  He was a Chairman of the L.A. Section Hydrology and Hydraulics Technical Group during 1994-1995.  At the national level. Dr. Bathala served as Proceedings Chair for the North American Water and Environment Congress '96 held In Anaheim during June 22-28. 1996.  He Is a Fellow of ASCE.  Fellow of Institute for Advancement of Engineering. and recipient of the 1995 Outstanding Engineering Merit Award from the Orange County Engineering Council. He Is also a member of American Institute of Hydrology. Floodplain Management Association and Orange County Water Association.  He retired from Caltrans in 2014.
