Synopsis:


Located on the southern edge of Rancho Mission Viejo's Planning Area 3, the DMA-C Flood Basin will ultimately be 21 acres of open bottom, natural side slope, graded basin. Portions of the already completed Phases 2b, 3, and 4 currently drain to the initial phase of the Flood Basin which has a capacity of 70 AF. With the grading of Phase 6 the ultimate basin grading and construction will be completed, providing a capacity of 170 AF. Upon completion of the watershed development, with Phases 5b, 6, 7, 10, 11, and 12, the tributary area will be 1,275 acres, and the DMA-C Flood Basin will be the first new County of Orange Regional Flood Facility in decades.
