Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer
Marionne Lapitan, EIT, ENV SP
Marionne Lapitan is a Civil Associate Engineer in the Traffic/ITS Department at Michael Baker International and a Graduate Student at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Long Beach in 2019. She has worked on various public works projects across Southern California, including traffic calming, traffic signal synchronization, signing and striping, signal timing, on-site parking facilities design, traffic impact analysis, and traffic signal design. She currently serves as the ASCE Orange County Publications Chair and Communications Committee Co-Chair. Marionne is passionate about designing and building communities, both structurally and socially. She aspires to make a difference through civil engineering in hopes of building a brighter future for the next generation. Marionne is also an active member of APWA, ITE, and OCTEC.
