Flood Management Project

In February 2019, an emergency repair of the Laguna Canyon Channel was completed after a section of channel wall collapsed due to a series of heavy rain events. In 2023, Orange County Public Works, on behalf of the Orange County Flood Control District, completed the channel replacement project by replacing 1,200 feet of channel that failed or exhibited wall tilt exceeding allowable thresholds. Aesthetic features for the community’s benefit included decorative fence and colored concrete.
