Bio
Mahta Movasat is currently a Ph.D. student at University of California San Diego. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and obtained her Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Tabriz University, Iran. Her research is focused in the area of post-wildfire mudflows and slope stability. Besides, she is doing dynamic analysis of precast counterfort retaining wall systems. She has been a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) & Geo-Institute since 2018. She is serving as the secretary of ASCE Geo-Institute Graduate Student Organization at UC San Diego and mentoring the UC San Diego Geo-wall team for National and PSWC Geo-Wall competitions.
