My name is Michael Adam Dinicola and I am a fourth-year civil engineering student at California State University, Long Beach, with an emphasis in Transportation and Water Resources. I’ve been a Student Engineer with the Port of Los Angeles for the past two years, effectively taking my first big steps into my civil engineering career. Since my first year of college, ASCE has given me countless opportunities to grow and I am now eagerly working to promote the profession and make a positive difference as the current Co-President for my student chapter. I’m also involved with other student organizations, including the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Chi Epsilon, and CSULB’s Club Water Polo Team. For practically my entire life, my long term goal has been to follow in the footsteps of my late grandfather and change the world as a Professional Civil Engineer. I’m currently working towards this goal by studying to take the 8-hour PE Civil exam this April.
