YMF - PE Application Seminar

OC YMF hosted an application seminar for the California Professional Engineer (P.E.) exam. Susan Christ from Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists (BPELSG) gave a presentation on the application process for the California P.E. exam. She discussed application requirements and common mistakes. The event was attended by young engineers-in-training that are planning to take the exam in the next year.  The seminar was a beneficial and unique event for future test takers because they were able to ask their questions in person instead of having to submit them online.

Susan announced a recent BPELSG policy change. The new policy only requires that each candidate must had previously passed the fundamentals examination pertinent to their intended discipline. This policy change eliminates the need for a degree prior to sitting for the national exam. To learn more about this change, visit BPELSG’s website at www.bpelsg.ca.gov.
