Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County

On October 15, 2015 ASCE OC YMF volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County located in Irvine, CA. There were members from OC YMF and other agencies that worked together and sorted various food items in preparation for distribution to local food banks. It was an eye opening experience to learn how many families within Orange County go without food or struggle about the decision of paying rent, utilities, or buying food.  We were grateful to assist the Second Harvest Food Bank in their efforts to reach out to communities and help them in their efforts to end hunger in Orange County.
