ASCE OC YMF Visits the Ronald McDonald House

On Monday September 1st, 2015 members of Orange County Branch Younger Member Forum prepared a meal for families staying at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House through the meal program, ”Feasts from the Heart.” The Orange County Ronald McDonald House provides a comforting "home away from home" for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).

The YMF volunteers prepared a dinner meal for the families to enjoy while in between hospital visits which was received by many thanks and appreciation from the families.  The 10 members of the dinner crew of was lead by the YMF members Xiaoyu Zhang (Community Service Co-Chair) and Krysta Kausen (PE Review Chair). The meal prepared followed an autumn harvest theme that included; pork chops with a plum reduction sauce, Ratatouille, Waldorf salad, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and peanut butter pretzel brittle.
