Mentorship Program Informal Event

The 2017-2018 Mentorship Program held its first informal event on November 9th, 2017 at Union Market in Tustin, CA. Union Market features several food stalls, boutique stores, and a bar in the middle of the market. Mentors and Protégés were able to socialize with one another over beverages and snacks in a relaxed and easy-going environment. The casual atmosphere of the market allowed Mentors and Protégés to freely converse with their respective counterparts as well as other participants in the Mentorship Program. The Mentor and Protégés are encouraged to meet once a month in order for the Protégé to seek advice and share ideas with their Mentor and for the Mentor to serve as a guide in the professional and personal development of the Protégé. The next Informal Event for the Mentorship Program is set to be held on January 18th, 2018. The Mentorship Committee is excited to see the relationship of each Mentor and Protégé pairing grow and develop over the next year.
