Student Members Attend History & Heritage Student Scholarship Night 2022

ASCE CSULB attends History and Heritage Student Scholarship Night, an annual event for the local civil engineering community. ASCE Orange County Branch and ASCE Orange County Younger Member Forum (YMF) host this event to bring together college students, young professionals, and accomplished industry professionals.

This year, the ASCE CSULB Student Chapter brought home a total of 9 out of the 17 scholarships adding to a total amount of $11,000. Congratulations to the other scholarship winners! Here are our scholarship award winners and the respective scholarships they received: 

  • Erin Santiago: Gary Gilbert Memorial Scholarship and Construction Institute Scholarship
  • Kevin Tasci: Branch Achievement Scholarship and Structural Institute Scholarship
  • Kimberly Rodriguez: Branch Achievement Scholarship
  • Noelle Yee: Construction Institute Scholarship
  • Ryan Okamura: Environmental and Water Resource Scholarship 
  • Hannah Gayle: Environmental and Water Resource Scholarship 
  • Patrick Nguyen: Transportation Vision Scholarship

Beyond our members receiving scholarships, the ASCE CSULB Student Chapter was awarded the “Most Outstanding Student Chapter Award”. We would like to thank the efforts of our student officers, members, and advisors for everything they have done for our chapter. Go Beach!

Lucinda Rubio is a fifth-year Civil Engineering Student at California State University, Long Beach, and Webmaster of their student chapter of ASCE for the 2022-2023 school year.
