ARTIC: Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center
The ASCE-Orange County Geo-Institute (GI) hosted a luncheon on August 16, 2016 at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) University Club. The luncheon consisted of a presentation on the geotechnical design aspects of the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) project. ARTIC is a uniquely designed public transportation facility in Anaheim, California that provides rail, bus, taxi and other services for daily commuters, visitors, and leisure travelers. ASCE Orange County held its July lunch event at the Center Club in Costa Mesa. We were fortunate to have Ryan Snyder talk to us about reinvention of current modes transportation.

2016 Annual Awards Dinner
The ASCE OC 2016 Awards Dinner was creatively re-designed and adjusted by the new Social Committee. This year’s event was hosted at a new venue, Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach. Every year ASCE OC hosts their Annual Awards dinner to celebrate the projects and people in Orange County honored by the Awards committee for the year. Over 200 people were in attendance as we honored outstanding individuals and projects for 2015. A total of 35 awards were given out, including 22 project awards and 13 individual awards. » Read More

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)

ASCE Orange County held its December lunch event at the Center Club in Costa Mesa. We had three presentations on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Drones for private and public works projects, including the California High-Speed Rail.
