As a design engineer, Darlyn has worked on multiple segments of the US 101 reconstruction in Santa Barbara . She has been a key designer and has contributed to the geometric features of the main highway design as well as on and off ramp designs. She has been a part of several coordination meetings and informs the team of the development of her designs. Darlyn has been a part of this project for 3 years joining the team during her internship leading into her full time position at Mark Thomas.- Comments:

Darlyn has assisted with several University Outreach events and helped develop the next generation of students graduating and preparing to join the professional industry. Darlyn has assisted students with planning their career fairs, finding guest speakers and consistently is informed of students activities being planned. Students have gone on to join YMF after graduation and her goal is to continue assisting students with this transition as they graduate.

Darlyn was an active member of her student chapter in college and has continued supporting students as she joined YMF. She is passionate about engaging with students and getting to know their questions and concerns about the industry. Darlyn participates in organizing Resume Panels, Mock Interviews, and the Mentorship program. She hopes to continue providing students with the resources needed to prepare for a professional career.
