Comments:

I’ve been dedicated to re-developing the government relations committee and connecting engineers to the legislative process.  This effort has educated people on both sides, particularly on how infrastructure and law makers can work together to build better in our state.

Steven Anderson has re-developed the ASCE-OC Government Relations Committee to provide educational lectures, get-togethers and roundtable discussions on how legislators can work with engineers to improve our natural and built environment.  He developed a keystone event where state legislators come for a lunch session to discuss infrastructure issues with engineers, which he plans to hold annually.
