Mojgan (MJ) Hashemi is a Program Manager and Principal Engineer for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. She is an active member of the Orange County Branch and is heavily involved with the ASCE Government Relations on a local, regional, and nationallevel. She is a past Chair of the Los Angeles Section Government Relations Committee, an ASCE Advocacy Captain for California, and the current Government Relations Committee Chair for Region 9. In this capacity, she is providing Region 9 members a forum to review, monitor, and recommend positions on statewide legislative and regulatory proposals that affect civil engineering.
