Steven N. Foellmi, P.E., M. ASCE Member Since 1973
Steven N. Foellmi was born in Sparta, Wisconsin and current resides in Lake Forest. He received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and his MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri. His field specialties include: intake, pump station, water conveyance, and water treatment facilities. Mr. Foellmi has been with Black & Veatch Corporation since 1972 where he is currently Vice President and Project Director, which provides an opportunity to build and expand technical knowledge, help clients implement their visions, and contribute to the leadership direction of the company. He considers this position his most gratifying. His most significant career achievement to be: peer recognition and acknowledgment as a go-to professional to manage major Black & Veatch projects throughout California and North America, including Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, and Canada.

Project Manager: Nacimiento Water Project (Winner of 2011 Outstanding Private Sector Civil Engineering Project Awards from ASCE San Luis Obispo County and Los Angeles Sections and one of five finalist projects to be recognized at the ASCE OPAL for 2012 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement
Project Manager: Major assignments for The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California on programs including rehabilitation of failing prestressed concrete cylinder pipe; drought relief projects, and the Bay/Delta Initiative
US Patent holder for 317 mgd ozone injection system
More than 35 water treatment plants ranging in capacity from 2.5 to 315 mgd
Pump stations ranging to 444 cfs
More than 300 miles of large-diameter conveyance pipelines
Mr. Foellmi was honored with ASCE Los Angeles Section 2013 Outstanding Civil Engineer in Private Sector.
Mr. Foellmi is married to Jean and they have three children: Aaron, Angie and Adam. His most significant lifetime achievement is becoming a grandfather to four with two more on the way.
