Community Service - HomeAid

HomeAid is Looking for Assistance from Civil Engineers

The ASCE OC Branch is looking for opportunities to partner with HomeAid Orange County (HomeAid OC).  HomeAid OC was founded 25 years ago by leaders in the building industry. There are now 15 HomeAid chapters nationally, and the movement continues to grow and increase in impact. HomeAid exists to end homelessness. Since its inception, HomeAid OC has created 50 shelters serving men, women and children experiencing homelessness. We achieve this through Advocacy, Development, and Service. For more information about HomeAid OC please visit http://www.homeaidoc.org

The following is a  brief list of opportunities for individuals or companies to provide professional services in partnership with HomeAid Orange County:

 • Structural Engineer
 • Soils Engineer - New home to serve as emergency shelter for homeless families (children ages 0-5) in Stanton.
 • Civil Engineer - Drainage issues at a shelter creating unsafe conditions.
 • Water Quality Management - Help is needed to prepare a WQMP for a project now being designed and permitted
 • Dry utility planning

** These represent immediate needs, however HomeAid can utilize almost any professional services as we currently have over 10 upcoming projects on the books which will take place in Orange County.
