April Luncheon - Rail in Orange County

For the April luncheon the Orange County Branch had three speakers to discuss rail improvements in Orange and San Diego Counties.

Jennifer Bergener is the Director of Rail for the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA).  She discussed the status of the Metrolink Service Expansion Program (MSEP), Railroad Grade Crossing Sefety Program, Quiet Zones, Station Improvements, Gradfe Separations, Fixed Guideway Projects in Anaheim and Santa Ana/Garden Grove, other Metrolink service enhancements and upcoming projects.  Her presentation may be viewed here

Justin Fornelli, PE, is the Chief Rail Engineer for the North County Transit District (NCTD) in San Diego County.  His presentation included an overview of NCTD services, Coastal Corridor Improvements and Service Enhancements including the Sprinter.  His presentation may be viewed here.

Patricia Watkins is currently the Assistant Director of Public Projects for Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) she spoke about the various safety initiativesfor the Metrolink operation that SCRRA has undertaken. Her presentation may be viewed here.
