2011-2012 Business Card Ad in the ASCE OC Branch Newsletter
Each year at this time, we ask professional engineering companies to contribute to the Branch's Student Assistance Fund. If you place your business card in the Branch’s monthly newsletter for the next 12 months beginning with the April 2011 issue, a portion of that donation will be placed in the Branch’s Student Assistance Fund. Your business card will be seen by over 2,000 newsletter subscribers each month. Starting with the May 2011 newsletter we will be going 100% digital. We will no longer be printing hard copies. However, your business card will be highlighted two different ways. The email blast that is sent to all our members will highlight 4-6 business cards within the newsletter email each month. Your card will show up within the email at least once throughout the year. There will also always be a link to the “ASCE OC Branch 2011-2012 Professional Directory”. That link will take our members to a page within the www.asceoc.org website that will have all the business cards arranged similarly to how we do it in our current newsletter format. In addition, if you want your business card to be “clickable” and have it link to a website of your choice, please indicate that when you place your order.
As an incentive to placing your business card in our newsletter by the deadline of March 10, 2011, everyone who makes the deadline will be entered in a drawing to have their card show up in EVERY newsletter email we send for the entire year, so get your order in early!
The Student Assistance Fund sponsors worthwhile programs for civil engineering students at U.C. Irvine, C.S.U. Fullerton and C.S.U. Long Beach. Monetary assistance is given to these schools to assist in operating costs, the Pacific Southwest Regional Conference competition, special field trips, special projects and Student Scholarships. Remember, these students are the future of our profession! Due to a significant drop in business card ads in the past couple years we have decided to drop our prices to below 2006 prices temporarily! For a contribution of only $249, you can help assure that these opportunities for the students continue. This reduced price is only good through March 31st, 2011*. After March 31, 2011* the price will rise to $299 which is still lower than 2008 prices. Please checkwww.asceoc.org to see if the reduced price deadline has been extended or contact me.
BUT WAIT – THERE’S MORE! As an added incentive to get our numbers back up to 2009 and prior levels, we have a challenge for you. If we get over 70 business card ads by the end of April 2011*, we will hold a drawing for a free Apple 16 GB iPad with Wi-Fi (or equivalent based on availability).
Please choose a ticket above (click Show Other Payment Options to see the choice to mail a check).
Please email an electronic version of your business card to me directly at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). We need to receive your payment and updated business card before March 10, 2011 in order for your business card to be included in the April 2011 newsletter. If you have any questions please call me at 626-956-8288. Thank you very much for your support of the Student Assistance Fund.
Please note that no matter when you place your business card in the newsletter, it will always need to be renewed during the next registration push which occurs in February and March each year. So if you don’t get your registration in until July 2011, it will still expire in March 2012.
*Date subject to extension, but not guaranteed to be extended.
