Integrity and Pride: Purpose of The Order of the Engineer

The annual ASCE Orange County Branch History and Heritage night had many diverse events ranging from recognition of past presidents to student chapter presentations.  But one event that has become a tradition at the event is the induction of new candidates into the Order of the Engineer. This year’s ceremony added twelve new candidates to the order, students and professionals who recognize the critical role ethics and integrity play in our profession.   More »

2012 Annual History & Heritage and Student Fellowship Night

Over 100 ASCE members convened at the Center Club in Costa Mesa this past November 15th, to celebrate ASCE Orange County’s Annual History & Heritage and Student Night. Members ranging from students to Lifetime members gathered for an opportunity to recognize both the historical and recent achievements of ASCE Orange County as well as an opportunity to network.  More »

Student Chapter Presentation - Cal State Long Beach

On September 26th, 2012, OC-YMF was invited to present at the first speaker meeting for their ASCE Long Beach student chapter. The room was filled with room just left to stand as Ravi Shah, OC-YMF President, took this opportunity to speak to the student chapter about a few topics which affect their lives as Students. Alumni Outreach

This year the ASCE CSULB student chapter has are more excited than ever as we rally support for our Steel Bridge Team. The Steel Bridge Team placed third in the annual Pacific South Western Conference of ASCE and they are heading to Nationals!  However, the club's small budget has run out, so our goal is to subsidize as much of their travel expenses as possible. Chili Pepper Student Mixer

In order to increase student awareness of YMF and its activities we decided to have a student mixer in conjunction with one of our general meetings. We picked The Chili Pepper because of its central location in Orange County to try and make it easier for more people to come out. More »

CSULB PSWRC Summary May 2012

CSULB took an astounding 49 students and 2 faculty to PSWC 2012 this year. With a full head of steam, all students donned matching black and yellow I Dig LB t-shirts for the event. More »

UCI PSWRC Summary May 2012

The UC Irvine Student Chapter had a total of fifty members attend this year’s Pacific Southwest Conference at Cal Poly Pomona. More »
