ITS Seminar

On Friday, November 13, 2015 the American Society of Civil Engineers, Orange County Transportation Technical Group (ASCE OC TTG) and ASCE OC Branch Continuing Education Committee hosted a half day seminar on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in the City of Irvine.  The theme of the seminar was the past, present and future overview of ITS nationally and also regionally in the State of California. SpaceX Tour Summary

OCTA Measure M2 Presentation

By: Adrian Anderson, ASCE OC TTG Darrell Johnson, OCTA Chief Executive Officer, presented a fantastic overview of progress and a status update on OCTA’s Measure M2 to a packed room at the UCI University Club on September 15, 2015.  The 30-year Measure M2 program is funded by a special use sales tax and was passed by 70% of voters, an indication that implementation of the initial Measure M by OCTA, which was passed in 1989, resonated with voters in a positive way. Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project Presentation

ASCE Orange County Branch and APWA Southern California Chapter Host Joint Presentation on the SR-91 Design-Build Project

I-405 Improvement Project

On March 16, 2015,  Mr. Jeff Mills, Program Manager with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), spoke to 65 transportation professionals and university students at UCI’s University Club, about the proposed Interstate 405 (I-405) Improvement project.  This presentation was hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers, Orange County Transportation Technical Group, as part of their ongoing series presenting topical projects and programs addressing regional transportation needs.
