We’re looking for a seasoned staff member to lead, direct, and provide senior technical review on a wide variety of flood management and restoration projects, working out of our Sacramento office or elsewhere in northern California . This is a mid-level or higher opportunity in our team of Environmental Hydrology & Design professionals. Who You Are Your experience includes project management for flood management and restoration projects of moderate to high complexity . You have routinely served as the primary client contact from preparing technical scopes of work and budgets to being the lead representative at client meetings, field meetings, and team meetings . You work effectively with multi-discipline teams to foster collaboration and deliver project assignments. You hold a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Engineering, Hydrology, Planning or a related field, and have a minimum of 10 years of experience directly related to flood management and restoration projects in California . PE license is preferred, as is a Master’s degree or PhD . You are an effective team member able to work both independently and collaboratively to support the successful completion of project-related work on time and within budget . W hat You Will Do for ESA Provide project management and support analysis and design for multi-benefit flood management, fish passage, ecosystem restoration and water resources projects in collaboration with scientists, landscape architects and other specialists throughout Northern California. Apply your technical skills ( hydrology, hydraulics, geomorphology, sediment transport, water quality, habitat restoration, levee design, etc.) to perform project work and provide staff mentorship. Support and contribute to the development of reports and other project documentation , coordinating with key team members, including senior staff, subconsultants, and clients. Demonstrate a clear understanding of project management principles and practices and be responsible for the overall project delivery process including preparing scopes of work, schedules and budgets for proposals and task orders. Knowledge and familiarity with the California Central Valley geography is preferred. Supervise project teams including ESA staff and subconsultants, and lead client and/or stakeholder meetings .
